A band with my brother, since 16
I started this band at 16 with my brother Jack. We played a few local shows, and then for some reason thought we could tour. So I started cold calling and booked us a short four-week tour up and down the West Coast. I didn’t have a driver’s license, so my parents stepped in and helped chauffeur us (thanks Mom and Dad!)
Since then, we’ve gone on to play six national tours, perform hundreds of shows, share the stage with some of our musical heroes, and even experience the rollercoaster ride of getting a record deal, only to be dropped when the label folded. Along the way, we’ve released five studio projects, scored a #1 Billboard single for CHR radio adds, and accumulated over two million streams.
We’re still making music together — and most importantly, still friends.

I remember the first time I ever felt a kick drum through a good PA system. Key Arena in Seattle. I was probably twelve years old. I felt it in my chest and I looked over at my brother Jack in amazement. We knew something incredible was about to happen.
Then the band came on stage and began to make a bunch of noise, the crowd started singing together, guitars were strumming, drums pounding away — and I felt such a wonderful feeling of togetherness and potential. Jack and I were hooked. We went to live music concerts and festivals as much as we could, chasing that feeling.
Needless to say, playing our music live holds a dear place in our hearts. Fine tuning every aspect of our show through sound, light, instrumentation, and movement, in an effort to bridge the gap between the stage and the audience, is a rewarding challenge we take pride in tackling.
We produce all of our own music videos. Most of my ideas involve building some stage piece (a 5x5 obsidian cube), subjecting the guys to the elements (wandering the WA wilderness in the middle of winter), or a mixture of both (playing in a human-size aquarium). The guys are usually down for whatever.
We take great pride in making visual content that matches our music.
